Attorney Stan R. Weller
Stan R. Weller established The Weller Law Firm in 2006 after a number of years in private firms and a year in the Sexually Violent Persons Unit of the Illinois Attorney General's office. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1992 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Southern Illinois University of Carbondale in 1998. Mr. Weller has been licensed to practice as an attorney in Illinois and the United States district court for the southern district of Illinois since 1998. He is a state certified mediator, a St. Clair County arbitrator and former guardian ad litem. Mr. Weller represents clients in Belleville and throughout southern Illinois with family law matters and bankruptcy.
Mr. Weller is a founding member of BASIL (Bankruptcy Attorneys of Southern Illinois) and has been a featured speaker at the annual BASIL conference. He is also a member of numerous other legal and professional organizations.
Additionally, Mr. Weller was a contributing author of the book, "Understanding the Effects of BAPCPA: Leading Lawyers on Examining BAPCPA Changes, Adopting New Filing Strategies, and Analyzing Consumer Bankruptcy Trends (Inside the Minds)" and authored the nationally released book, "Joint Parenting Agreements Line by Line: A Detailed Look at Marital Settlement and Joint Parenting Agreements."
